New York's Most Expensive Hotel Suites

Meet New York’s most expensive hotel suites for celebrities, dignitaries, politicians and the exceptionally wealthy. These 10 penthouse suites offer amazing luxury amenities, pampering and stunning New York city views.

At the top spot, the most expensive hotel suite in New York city took seven years and $50 million to build, features cathedral ceilings, semi-precious stones in the bathroom, a grand piano and stands 800 feet above the street — the highest hotel penthouse in the city. Named after the American business tycoon who created the Beanie Baby empire and who holds a significant share of the luxury hotel chain, one night at the Four Seasons New York Ty Warner Penthouse costs the equal of a lower middle class yearly salary in the US.

That’s according to the latest survey out of NewYorkHotels.org, which came up with a list of the 10 most expensive hotel suites in Manhattan based on average rates throughout the month of September.

For the sum of $45,000 a night, guests of the extravagant hotel suite get panoramic 360-degree views of the pulsing city below them.

Every inch of the 4,300-square-foot suite is pimped out in luxurious finishings from calfskin leather walls in the dressing room, semi-precious stones in the Zen room waterfall, 18-century Japanese silk pillows and hand-lacquered walls with mother-of-pearl inlay.

Additionally, the suite also comes with a 24-hour on-call butler and use of chauffeur service in either a Rolls-Royce or Maybach.

In second spot, guests of the Presidential Suite inside the St. Regis pay $35,000 a night for bragging rights to sleeping in the same room as Salvador Dali and Marilyn Monroe.
